Regus Opens First Location in Zambia

Exciting opportunities for businesses in Africa as Regus expands in Zambia its 93rd country

According to our latest Business Confidence Index (BCI), there is a strong sense of business optimism in Africa. In particular East Africa, were the BCI stood at 151 points, 37 points above the global average, and up on the previous six months. In West Africa, it stood at 140 points, 26 higher than the global average, and also up compared with the previous edition. In both regions the number of businesses reporting increased profits and revenues exceeded the global average.

Regus has opened its first business centre in Lusaka, Zambia, responding to growing demand for flexible workspace and rising business confidence. This launch follows a series of recent openings in Africa, including in Ivory Coast, Uganda, Tanzania, Ghana and Senegal. Demand at these centres has quickly exceeded our original targets, and continues to increase.

Zambia itself is delivering an impressive economic performance, with growth of over 6 per cent expected this year. The Economist expects Zambia to be one of the world’s ten fastest-growing economies in 2011-2015, with six other Sub-Saharan African countries also in the top ten. Numerous factors are fuelling economic performance in Africa, including growth of entrepreneurship, rising foreign direct investment, Western businesses’ search for new markets, and growth in intraregional trade.

The new business centre Regus Rhodes Park is located in the most requested business place in Zambia. The business centre is on the second floor of this ultra modern building which, with its mirrored glass frontage, makes an impressive statement and overlooks neatly landscaped green space.
