Based on the opinions of more than 17,000 businesses globally, the Business Confidence Index is at an all-time high of 119 points in the U.S., up 32 points in the last six months. This confidence is now accompanied by reports that revenues and profits are increasing in line with expectations expressed in last year’s Index.
- 37% of U.S. companies report healthy profit growth
- 44% report a rise in revenues.
The research also reveals departmental spending is on the rise, specifically sales and marketing costs with the outliers being spending related to corporate real estate.
