Just before Christmas: Our 4th location in Manila!
We are opening our 4th location Ortigas in Manila, following our centres in Manila Philamlife Tower, The Enterprise Centre, Manila Global City.
Work patterns in the Philippines is changing, and this is driving demand for flexible workspace as companies look for smarter, cost-efficient ways to operate, offering staff flexibility about where and when they work. Recently for example, we found in our global survey that 24% of Filipino workers do it less than once a week, 26% do it once a week, and 38% finish their work at home for over three times a week.
What we also found in our latest edition of the Regus Business Confidence Index (September 2011) is that 63% of Filipino companies reporting increased revenues and 57% reporting increased profits.
Economic bullishness is accompanied by caution, however. Though 56% of businesses plan to increase headcount over the next two years, there’s a clear desire to build flexibility into this planning: 63% intend to hire freelancers and 49% plan to hire remote workers.
According to William Willems, VP for South East Asia, Regus, “Filipino companies plan to expand, but they want to retain the freedom to respond quickly to new opportunities or pressures, and they want to control costs. As a result, more and more companies in the Philippines are turning to our workspace, as a more flexible and efficient alternative to traditional long-term commercial property ownership or leases.”
